Spirit

Babelsberg. Just a stone’s throw away from where Fritz Lang shot Metropolis, in the center of the world’s oldest large-scale film studios, we established Rotor Film in 2011.

Since our founding, we have rapidly grown into one of Europe’s leading post production companies. Operating from Babelsberg, Berlin and Munich, we pride ourselves in having earned the trust of acclaimed filmmakers, domestically and abroad.

We like to believe we succeed because we care.
Because we see post production not as a service but a way to express more. Because we go above and beyond in what sound and picture can do for a story.

People

We believe in talent over tools.
Our creative supervisors, producers, and award-winning sound and picture talents form the backbone of Rotor Film. In our effort to surpass expectations, we have hand-selected professionals, capable of directly serving an idea, a screenplay, or a vision.

Whenever needed, we can match a project’s needs with freelancers from our large network of creatives in Berlin, wider Germany, and across Europe.

Research & Innovation

We won’t stop where we are today.
Connecting today’s needs with tomorrow’s opportunities, Rotor Film’s research division is currently developing an AI engine for visual and sonic pattern detection, aiming to streamline fast and accurate post production processes. We can match a project’s needs with custom IT automation, bringing productivity to the next level.

In collaboration with DWERFT, Germany’s largest media research initiative, Rotor Film is also working to collect and channel metadata through the entire film production process - from the first slate on set, until on-demand viewership at home, opening doors to countless opportunities for optimization and recuperation.

Our goal is for our clients to get more out of every euro spent in post production, for us to focus on content rather than logistics and to offer a terrific final product with a flawless delivery.
